eServices for job seekers
Jobseekers can sign on with RAV in the Job Room via the eService «Signing on with the employment service (RAV)» (no need to register).
After signing on with the RAV, you can register for the Job Room (via ‘Login’) and open a user account. This allows you to access numerous other eServices:
Placement
• Jobs (including setting up job alerts and watchlists)
• Find candidates
RAV eServices
• Efforts to find work
• Incapacity to work
• Upload documents
ALK eServices
• Details of the insured person
Important information
You will receive the form «Details of the insured person» directly by post. You will need this form to claim your monthly allowance from the unemployment insurance fund. If exceptionally you do not receive the form, please contact your regional employment centre (RAV) directly.
Insured persons must register as early as possible, and at the latest on the first day for which they claim unemployment benefits. This can be done online via work.swiss / Job Room, or in person at their responsible regional employment centre (RAV). From then on, they must comply with the monitoring requirements (Art. 17 para. 2 of the Swiss Unemployment Insurance Act). The receipt of the forms by post does not release them from the obligation to register in person.

To avoid problems with the fillable forms, we recommend downloading the latest Acrobat Reader from https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/otherversions/. This applies in particular to MacOS users. What to do: First, save the PDF file locally, then open and edit it on your computer. This is important as the form is processed using character recognition software. Print it out to sign in order to send it to the unemployment insurance fund with all the other supporting documents.
