New forms for unemployment benefit from October 2025

From October 2025, new forms will apply for unemployment benefit payment.

The current versions of these forms can no longer be accepted by the unemployment insurance funds from January 2026 onwards.

The payment type «unemployment benefit» will in future be processed via the new ASAL 2.0 payment system.

The unemployment benefit forms have been revised and redesigned for the new system. The forms are now identified using a QR code, and the information is read using text recognition software and transmitted to ASAL 2.0 directly.

For this reason, it is essential that the fields and QR code are displayed identically. The previous forms can no longer be used from January 2026.

So that employers can amend forms generated by their software accordingly, the two forms «Arbeitgeberbescheinigung» (Employer certificate) and «Bescheinigung über Zwischenverdienst» (Certificate of temporary earnings) are available in advance on this page. Employers are requested to use the new forms from October 2025.

The forms are available in German, French and Italian (for French and Italian please change the language in the top right-hand corner):

In October 2025 the other revised forms will also be published on the page eServices and forms for unemployment benefits.

The international affairs area, in which the «Arbeitgeberbescheinigung international» (International employer certificate) applies, will not be migrated to the new system. The current process will be continued and the existing forms can still be used.

The rollout of ASAL 2.0 will require an interruption to the RAV and unemployment insurance fund systems, and to the Job-Room at the end of 2025. The latest information relating to the rollout of the new payment system can be found on the page Rollout of ASAL 2.0.
