The digitalisation of unemployment insurance and the PES is continually advancing. Three customer surveys conducted in the first half of the year show that this is viewed positively by both jobseekers and employers.

According to SECO's surveys, there were 90’826 unemployed people registered with the regional employment centres (RAV) at the end of September, which is 945 more than in the previous month. The unemployment rate remained at 2.0% in the reporting month. Compared with the same month the previous year, the number of unemployed people declined by 1’300 (-1,5%).

In order to meet the evolving needs of jobseekers and employers, the Supervisory Commission for the Unemployment Insurance Compensation Fund adopted the 2030 Public Employment Services Strategy in the summer, a concise and stimulating paper setting out three areas of action.
