Service interruption due to rollout of ASAL 2.0

While Job-Room is unavailable, you may register with RAV using one of the following options:

1. Visiting the counter in person: Please bring an official identity document as well as your AHV card or health insurance card with you.
2. By email: Send an email to your local RAV including the following information: surname, first name, AHV number and date of birth.
   Please note: If you send an unencrypted email, your data could be accessed by third parties. Whenever possible, please send an encrypted email or register in person.
3. By phone: Contact your local RAV during office opening hours.

To find out which RAV is responsible for you, please visit the page Addresses / contact. Click on ‘Regional employment centres’ and enter your postcode or town. The relevant phone number and email address will then be displayed.

Please note: Registration is not possible retroactively, and daily allowances can only be claimed from the date of registration. If you are unsure about the date your registration date, please contact your local RAV office without delay.

If you have already entered job search activities for December 2025 in Job-Room, all entries made up to 19 December 2025 have already been automatically transmitted to your RAV caseworker.

If you have not yet entered the agreed number of job search activities or have not entered any activities in Job-Room, please fill out the form ‘Nachweis der persönlichen Arbeitsbemühungen’ and send it by email or post to your RAV caseworker. You may also submit it in person at your local RAV no later than 5 January 2026.

Please note: Proof of job search activities for December 2025 must be submitted by 5 January 2026 even though Job-Room is unavailable. Failure to meet this deadline may result in suspension days.

Do you usually submit the ‘Details of insured person’ form via the relevant eService and therefore do not receive a paper version? - If so, you must follow the steps below in order to claim your benefit for September 2025:

• Write an email with the following subject line:
  ‘Claiming unemployment benefit for September 2025’
• Copy the following text into the email and fill in the required information:
  I hereby wish to claim my unemployment benefit for September 2025.
  First name and surname:
  Personal identification number:
• Send the email to the following SECO address:
  jobroom@alv.admin.ch
  By sending the email, you accept that it will be transmitted to SECO unencrypted.
• You will then receive an automatic confirmation of receipt by email. Please keep this confirmation. As soon as Job-Room is available again, you will receive a notification with information on what to do next. You must then attach the confirmation email to the ‘Details of the insured person’ form as proof that you submitted your claim on time.

Submission of the ‘Details of the insured person’ form for October, November or December 2025 via the eService is expected to be possible again from 6 January 2026.

While the Job-Room eService is unavailable, please report incapacity for work by phone, email or post to your RAV caseworker or their deputy, and also send a medical certificate to your unemployment insurance fund if available. In the event of an accident, please also notify your unemployment insurance fund from 6 January 2026, if you have not already done so.

Applications for export of benefits cannot be processed between 22 December 2025 and 6 January 2026. Please discuss this with your RAV caseworker from 6 January 2026.

Please fill out the form ‘Voranmeldung von Kurzarbeit’ and send it by post or email to your local cantonal office.

Please note: The 10-day advance notification deadline must be strictly observed.

You will then be shown all cantonal employment offices. If more than one cantonal employment office is listed, please select the one that mentions ‘Kurzarbeit’ (short-time working) or ‘Voranmeldung’ (advance notification). Click on the name of the relevant office to display the telephone number and email address you can use to contact them.

To claim short-time working compensation for September 2025, you must follow the below steps:

• Write an email with the following subject line:
  ‘Claiming short-time working compensation for September 2025’
• Copy the following text into the email and fill in the required information:
  I hereby wish to claim my short-time working compensation for September 2025.
  First name and surname:
  BUR number:
  Name of department(s):
• Send the email to the following SECO address:
  jobroom@alv.admin.ch
  By sending the email, you accept that it will be transmitted to SECO unencrypted.
• You will then receive an automatic confirmation of receipt by email. Please keep this confirmation. As soon as Job-Room is available again, you will receive a notification with information on what to do next. You must then attach the confirmation email to the ‘Application for short-time working compensation’ form as proof that you submitted your claim on time.

As the job registration eService is currently unavailable, please contact your local RAV by email, by phone or in person. The Check-Up will indicate whether the vacancy is subject to the job registration requirement. To ensure proof of correct registration, we recommend contacting your RAV by email.
