Service interruption due to rollout of ASAL 2.0

Due to the rollout of the new ASAL 2.0 payment system for unemployment benefit, the jobs and eService platform Job-Room will be out of service as announced, from 19 December 2025 to 6 January 2026. The systems of the regional employment centres (RAVs) and unemployment insurance funds will also be unavailable during this period. Job-Room is due to be available again from 7am on 6 January 2026. The exact date and time of recommissioning will be communicated on this page.

Your unemployment benefits will be guaranteed despite the service disruption. Payment of benefits is usually made within a month.

This page provides jobseekers, employers and private employment agencies with all relevant information regarding the period during which Job-Room is out of service. The work.swiss portal will remain fully accessible.

For opening times and contact details please always consult the website of your canton of residence or your unemployment insurance fund.

Residents of the Dorneck and Thierstein Districts who wish to register with a regional emplpyment center (RAV) should refer to the opening hours of the canton of Basel-Land.

General information

Why is the Job-Room being temporarily shut down?

As part of the rollout of the new ASAL 2.0 payment system, all data and documents need to be migrated from the old system to the new one. To enable this migration, both Job-Room (including the eServices for jobseekers, employers and private employment agencies) and the RAV and unemployment insurance fund systems will be temporarily shut down from 19 December 2025 to 6 January 2026. Comprehensive risk analyses have shown that a complete operational shutdown is the safest scenario to prevent data loss and ensure full data synchronisation upon recommissioning.

The service interruption was scheduled over the Christmas and New Year period in order to minimise the number of working days affected due to public holidays.

I have another question regarding the regional employment centres, labour market measures, cantonal offices or unemployment insurance funds
