New work.swiss portal (CMS migration)

The website work.swissis getting an overhaul from mid-May 2026. The portal for the Unemployment Insurance and public employment service is being migrated to a new content management system. At the same time, the portal’s design, content, structure and user navigation are being optimised.

Background

The work.swiss portal is currently built on a CMS that will only be operated until June 2026. Migration to a new CMS is therefore absolutely essential.

The federal government is also standardising its websites and work.swiss will in future be built on the centrally-provided CMS Livingdocs. work.swiss will remain a standalone website, however.

What will be optimised in the new website?

The aims of the new work.swiss site:

  • clear and readily understandable information structure
  • intuitive user experience with clear next steps
  • key content and services can be quickly accessed in a few clicks
  • efficient creation and management of content
  • better findability in search engines
  • optimised mobile use
  • enhanced accessibility

What does this mean for you?

For users of work.swiss:

  • faster access to information and services
  • easy navigation on the website

For cantons and implementing agencies:

  • existing links to work.swiss need to be checked and in some cases adapted

What next?

  • The new work.swiss website is due to launch in mid-May 2026.
  • Further information and specific instructions will be added to this page on an ongoing basis.
